The overall value of ranches, farms, hunting land and other rural land and acreage for sale in the state amounts to $4 billion, and covers almost 1 million acres. Of the 33 counties in the state, Santa Fe County has the most farms, ranches and rural real estate for sale. Looking at data recently recorded through the Land Network Comparable Sales program, the most land and rural property sales were recorded in Valencia County. Some suggested agricultural applications for land currently listed for sale in New Mexico include livestock or irrigation use. Outdoors enthusiasts can hunt for game including mule deer, elk, turkey, bear, whitetail deer, and ducks on land for sale here, while fishing enthusiasts can cast for trout, catfish, and bass.
