West Texas' Trans-Pecos region is one the state's most dramatic and ecologically diverse landscapes, offering everything from desert valleys and plateaus to unique "sky-island" ecosystems and the state's highest point: 8,749-foot Guadalupe Peak. Often synonymous with Far West Texas, most of the Trans-Pecos region comprises of large, private rangeland and sprawling historic legacy ranches.
