Ski Realty
Steamboat Springs, CO
I am the Owner and Designated Real Estate Broker at Ski Realty - I first came to Steamboat in 1985 during a college break and ended up staying. My first job was working as a lift operator on the Arrowhead chairlift at Steamboat Ski Resort, back when the resort was owned by LTD out of Texas. I worked at the ski resort in the winters and waitressed in the summer to save up for vacations during off-seasons. I married a cowboy and worked on a cow/calf ranch near Steamboat Lake. I continued working at the ski resort and waitressing on the side. In 1997, Tom Martin from American Ski Company came to Steamboat to hire salespeople for a new condo-hotel, the Grand Summit. After meeting him while waitressing, he encouraged me to come see him the next day resume or not. That s when I discovered my passion for real estate. In 1998, I got my real estate broker's license and became the top sales producer. I worked exclusively with developers like John Boler of Sidney Peak Ranch, Green Courte Partners on downtown projects like Howelsen Place and Alpenglow Condos, and Mountain Meadows Preserve for The Porches of Steamboat. I didn t realize it at the time, but I was building a luxury clientele database and gaining deep market knowledge. In 2020, I started my own real estate firm, Ski Realty. Now, I m fortunate to have a strong referral base and two amazing brokers working under my license at Steamboat s prestigious Alpine Mountain Ranch luxury ranch development. Client Reviews: "Most agents offer similar marketing packages, but what sets you apart is your approach. I would describe it as 'integrity in action and words.' Here's why: You were always there for us not an assistant, but you personally answered the phone. You know the market inside and out. You were at every showing for our listing, attended photo shoots, and even asked for our opinions while sharing yours, even when it differed from ours (which was important). You brought flowers, helped stage the house, and took full responsibility. When issues arose (as they often do in transactions), you worked through them carefully and kept us updated, even if they weren t your responsibility to fix. In previous sales, agents have often claimed to have buyers ready, but it was never true. You didn t make promises. You simply said you would work the market, which you did and brought in the buyer yourself. Not only that, you kept working after the first offer came in, landing a second offer from another agent. I could keep going, but you get the idea." Chris K., May 2024
