It is situated in northeastern Franklin County about 10 miles west of Brookhaven. The property is predominantly pine with about 19 acres in hardwood drains and 13 acres in a wide electric transmission line R-O-W. In addition to the the 19 acres in hardwood, the remainder of the place is in managed pine plantations ranging from 32 to 11 years old (2013 to 1992 establishment years). Interior access is provided by good woods roads. The area is known for good deer and turkey hunting.

A January 2024 timber inventory of the merchantable forest acres showed the following timber volumes:
