Promiseland Livestock offers a well-planned layout with the headquarters centrally located on the ranch. For several years the owners have been very diligent on their irrigated grass management. Whether you are discussing rotational grazing, haying or the fertility program, they are always on top of their game, and the grass density speaks for itself!
Pivot numbers 21 and 22 have historically been utilized as either cropland or an annual forage production. The 2023 corn crop on pivot #22 yielded 31.2 tons per acre of corn silage at 69% moisture, and pivot #21 was baled early on the Millet crop and then the re-growth was dove tailed into the grazing program for the remainder of the year. Typically, the owners will bale 2 or 3 of the grass pivots in the early growth stages while the grass is lush and then the re-growth will be grazed later in the season. On the irrigated grass the owners prefer a twice a year application of their fertilizer mixture which allows the root systems to utilize the nutrients at different growth stages throughout the growing Season. The high-capacity wells pump from a shallow static water level from the Ogallala Aquifer, with adequate amounts of groundwater to supply the center pivots to apply of 850+ Gallons per minute.
Fencing and Cross fencing on the place is all very high quality and in great condition. The improvements at the headquarters offer one of the best set-ups I have ever offered on any of my listings through the past 22 years of being in the land business!
If you are seeking a high carrying capacity ranch that is virtually drought proof and offers loads of depreciation advantages, take a look at Promiseland Livestock!
