The Hillsboro House Bed & Breakfast was built by Edward I. Holtz in 1891. The current owners renovated it with all new plumbing, electrical, metal roof, etc since ownership in 2001. Many of the amazing features from it's original build still exist: A wonderful tin ceiling & beautiful wains coating in the parlor, many of the light fixtures, doorknobs, stain glass windows, claw foot tub, fish scale siding, glass front built ins, decorative wood trim, the hardwood floors throughout that are amazing; black walnut & chestnut stairway. There's an abundance of porch/deck space to enjoy too! Nice sized detached garage with outdoor wood/coal burner serving one of 2 heat sources. Can utilize for hot water as well. No longer a B&B but could be again. Rear detached building has small rental.
