Have you always dreamt of owning mountain land, being camouflaged or camping in middle of the trees, building your dream treehouse or cabin getaway. Heres your chance to do all that and more with these adjacent lots, where the possibilities are endless. Which are also directly connected to 11+ acres of Common Land which is sub-connected to 900+ acres of more Common Land, so an even bigger back yard and lots of privacy. San Isabel National Forest is less than a mile away to the East and a little over 2 miles West is Forbes Park Lake.
The lots are located towards the back portion of the Park, the area that was not effected by the 2018 Spring Creek Fire. So as you can see by our photos and drone pictures taken it is green and beautiful all the way around and you can see homes/cabins nearby as well.
FAQs:
Where are some good places to hike?
There are several trails that begin in Forbes Park and lead to great views in the San Isabel National Forest. The most popular starting point is at the intersection of Elicker and Grojean. You can proceed through the unlocked personnel gate and follow the trail into Bonnett Park. You will find several trails to follow that lead out of Bonnett Park. On most Tuesdays a group of Forbes Park residents hike trails in the area. Watch for bulletins posted at the front gate and at the Forbes Park Center. These hikes are open to anyone.
Are there any fish in the lakes, ponds, or streams in Forbes Park?
The water sources in the Park are very shallow and freeze during the winter. Fish are not abundant. The streams do flow freely all year round. Some fish, mostly Brookies (Brout Trout) can be found in the streams.
Is hunting allowed in the Park?
Hunting is not allowed in the Park. Landowners do own land and/or homes in the Park because of the ease of assessing to legal hunting areas. Parts of the Parks boundary are adjacent to a National Forest and some BLM. Hunting is allowed in these areas with the appropriate Colorado license. See the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website for information.
